Thrice Tysabri...

Infusion number three today...my third IV of TYSABRI should infuse without incident...or at least I HOPE so!

My second infusion left me with an increasing arthralgia and incredible fatigue, prompting a blood draw to check my CBC and if neutralizing antibodies had formed.  I still have NOT heard the results of these lab tests and I am beginning to wonder if the lab would have "rushed" the process if they thought the results were post mortem?!?  Hopefully Dr. She Who Will Not Be Named will have some numbers in her hot, little hands when I arrive today.

My personal TYSABRI report would have to go something like this:  I can't say I'm distinctly better, but I also can't say I'm pathetically worse.  The strange feelings of coming "down with something" late last week seem to have subsided...I DID develop a rather nasty nerve pain in my right leg, which mostly has annoyed and angered me more than causing me any disability or dysfunction.  I always seem to go on HYPER ALERT however, when a new symptom appears in my good side...that's assuming I still HAVE a good side! LOL

So, I'll let you know the post infusion report on Thursday...again, assuming my report is not something post mortem...then one of YOU will just have to make something up for me!  I'm actually not worried about any fatal outcome and the joke of it all has grown cold (oops, there I go again!).  I'm still hoping for something GOOD to come from this drug...at least something measurable and comparable to the cost.

Oh yes...also my day of spiritual retreat felt "fantabulous" and I DID make a point to think of each of you (at least the folks who identify themselves to me anyway) and focus on your well-being.  And, now that my fast is over, I'm off to raid the fridge again...

Hope this one shows you some really positive results.

I know two other people taking these infusions and one of them can't stop raving about how wonderful it is while, like you,  the other one hasn't seen much to cheer about at yet...

Here's hoping 3rd time's the charm!

As for your Hepa ... are you now Cybernetic?
That's the story I put on my mess when I was on the 'dope' for my ON.

I'm glad your l'il retreat went well...

It should sustain you in the coming weeks with the strength to carry on the trail to wellness.  Don't get disapointed by how slow things seem to be going.

Slow is good when it comes to disease.

Its also good for getting better. Its a lot easier to acclimate to.

There's nothing like getting up in the morning. That's all. Just getting up in the morning. Whatever else happens ... well, its bonus time.  :-)

I hope Tsybari works out well for you.

You have been in my thoughts and prayers.  I am hoping that infusion #3 is the one what works!  Please take care of yourself and make sure to get plenty of rest.

Your good side?  Isn't it weird that we MS'ers have a good side and a bad side?  I'm like that with my good side too....when ever I feel something wierd on my 'good side' I start to panic.

Glad to see you're still alive after the fast...and raiding the fridge!  You go girl!

~~hugs~~

SUZY, JAIME, MDMHVONPA, CROVIRA2, PEEJ:  I'm going to comment to all y'all in one entry because I just can't stomach the back and forth process AOHELL takes me through just to leave an individual comment to each of YOUR comments!  I've got Tysabri Tireds...

SUZY:   Yep, the ol' good side...that and my bladder are the two things I charish most about my health...always been a strong pee-er!  LOL
How are YOU doing?  Survived your concert, I read...

JAIME:  As my mother used to say (among other quotable quotes!), "There's no rest for the weary."  To this day, I have no IDEA what she meant by that exceptm if you're already tired, it's hard to rest!  Thanks for the prayers BTW...

CROVIRA2:  I like your attitude!  And especially the line about getting up in the morning...hopefully I can remember that one in the morning when my joints are all glued together from the Tysabri!!!

MONDOVAPOVA:  I fear you have a secret camera looking through my computer screen and monitoring my pants-wetting episodes when I read your comments...you computer geeks are that way, you know?!?

PEEJ:  Thanks for the feedback about your friends...I was beginning to think I was the only Tysabri whiner in the pool of thousands!  And as always, thank you for your kind thoughts and well-wishes...when I'm wealthy, we'll fly to England (of course, wild monkeys may fly out my butt before I'm ever wealthy!).
